Why does it matter how long he's been a member? I've been around for a while, it wasn't my post that was deleted...and this still gets me fired up.It's not like he posted a pic of his dog and asked for help naming it. The post was at least motorsport related. I think that if Damon or Greg are giving the direction to the mods that any post that is non-Z related is to be nuked then that's a shame. It really reduces the value of the site to an archive of how-to's rather than having merit as an actual forum. Do I get tired of seeing baby pics and happy birthday wishes? Maybe I'm an ass, but yeah they get old sometimes...but they should ALL be allowed to post that content. If it's not hurting anyone, what is the incentive to remove it? What is gained? I'm sure you mean well, but I take exception to this statement: "The site is what it is, no sense in ranting about the 'good ole days. Soon we'll all be dead."
This site is something that I've come to love over the last decade, I'm not willing to sit back and watch it fall into irrelevance just because "it is what it is". This post has elicited many responses and illustrates how broken this policy is. Sitting back and accepting that "it is what it is" is a tactic many Europeans adopted in the 1940's to their own peril. We speak out when we perceive injustice in the hopes that through dialogue we can make a change for the better. Freedom to the people! Vive le TT.net!
